Virtual training and development methods

As the development of the virtual society and the remote working, the concept of virtual employees has become more popular. The main reason for this has bene recorded as the COVID 19 pandemic issue which has been resulted in the restrictions in human mobility application. Along with this fact, organizations had to face difficulties in the employee management and thus the application of the virtual employees has been included in the daily operations (Vigersky et al, 2021).

Training and development activities are very important in the identification of the performances and development of the capabilities and the skills of the employees. This is very important fact which needed to he identified. As per the prevailing situation, virtual work has promoted in a higher level and thus the application of better monitoring in the needed performances is very important (Shernoff et al, 2020).

Virtual training is undertaking in the remote or the designed environments and there are many methods in the virtual training and development applications. It is very important to have the better methods as matching to the training needs to have the clear and better outcome in the management of the success of the training needs (Hoedt et al, 2017).

Some of the virtual training applications are given as follows;

ü  Webinars

ü  Visual Lectures                                 


ü  Polling

ü  Group discussions

ü  Brainstorming

ü  Record video and reading

ü  Role-playing

There are several applications available in the current world to undertake these applications (Zoom, Adobe Connect, Cisco GoToTraining) and it is very important to have the better outcome in the virtual training to have success in the employee development. There are advantages and disadvantages in the virtual training methods (Gorecky et al, 2017; Ortiz et al, 2018).

Advantages are;

ü  There is a higher time flexibility in the training design and it is helpful for both employee and trainer

ü  Location independence is there and no need to worry about traveling

ü  Management is improved and the concentration can be higher

ü  More materials in learning and getting training

ü  Online activities are there to engage

Disadvantages are;

ü  Communication quality is lower

ü  Connection issues can be there

ü  Facilities are not there for every one in similar manner

ü  Poor video quality

ü  Coordination and interaction among the individuals are less

ü  Investment is required in these applications

ü  Not matching for all the categories of employees

 

Conclusion

Virtual training is highly famous and applicable in managing better applications and it is very important method in the current world to get the training applications as the mobility of the people are been limited due to the COVID 19 pandemic issue. There are many methods which the training can be undertaken in the virtual environment. There are advantages and the disadvantages in the virtual training methods which needed to have the higher consideration and it is very important to have the better monitoring on these activities to understand the outcome in a proper manner.
